Responsible to: Marketing Manager
Responsibility for the creation of high quality visual impact design solutions.
The designs are required for a variety of products and activities, such as websites, advertising, newsletters, posters, exhibitions, displays, corporate communications and corporate identity, i.e. giving a visual ‘brand’.
The successful candidate will have the confidence to present and explain ideas and will be fully proficient with the Adobe Creative Suite, including: Illustration, InDesign, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Adobe and Flash.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Creating professional designs and layouts for promotional materials including direct mailings, handouts, advertisements, posters, signs, logos, and other visual layouts.
Using a wide range of medias, including photography and computer aided design to produce visual solutions using a mix of creative skills and commercial awareness.
Preparing new and unique illustrations, innovative layout prints, rough sketches and determining style, technique, and medium best suited to promotion strategies.
Keeping abreast of current trends by conducting the necessary researches and assisting in copy writing as necessary.
Coordinating production activities and reviewing quality of the final product before release whilst demonstrating an understanding of material costs and time limits which can impact on the design.
